Founded in 1930 by brothers David & Samuel Ferran, the company remains an independant, family run business. Our clients range from BP Oil UK, BP Shipping Ltd, Belfast Harbour Commissioners and the Royal Navy amongst others.
We offer Harbour Towage, Line Handling and Mooring services in the Port of belfast. We have a fleet of five tug/workboats with bollard pulls ranging from 2 to 14.8 tonnes available to carry out towage and mooring work, offering a 365 days a year, 24 hours a day manned service.

There are two Sister Companies, Ferran Port Services Ltd and Ferran Marine Services Ltd. FPS is responsible for the day to day operation, manning and maintenance of the three Pilot Boats, forming the Pilotage fleet for the Port of Belfast. FMSL supplies and manages the crew supplied to the Department of Social Development. This forms the River Management Team on both the River lagan & Lagan Weir in Belfast.
